Thomas a. Harrison

CEO

Thomas A. Harrison, CEO of Bayland Insurance and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in business administration. He oversees all operations for Bayland Insurance and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC while maintaining a large client base. Tom, an active member of the insurance industry, has held numerous PIA of Wisconsin positions, including: Past President, Board Member, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer. He has also served on advisory boards for numerous partnering carriers. In 2005, Tom was awarded “The Agent of the Year” by the PIA of Wisconsin.

Jodi M. Harrison

President

Jodi M. Harrison, President of SIA of the Great Lakes. Jodi oversees the recruiting and agency development aspects of the organization. Jodi believes that this industry is primarily a relationship industry and is responsible for not only the relationships with our members but with our partnering carriers as well. Jodi started off her career as a recruiter for the organization and as an original agency development specialist. Jodi enjoys her work and she also enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, husband and their dog.

Matt Harty

Agency Growth Coach - MN

Matt grew up in the Stillwater MN area. After college he started his first insurance agency with a small regional captive company. After 10 years as a captive agency he joined SIAGL to start an independent agency. He grew his independent agency on his own for the first 5 years. After that he decided to merge with another east metro SIA agent to form a larger agency. After the merger Matt and his business partners enjoyed 10 years of continuous agency growth. In 2021 Matt decided to move on from the agency life and take a position with SIAGL as an Agency Growth Coach. Matt currently lives in New Richmond, WI with his wife Michelle. In his free time he enjoys boating on the St Croix River, snowmobiling and photography.

Melissa M. Schefe

Agency Onboarding/Growth Coach

Melissa has been with SIA of the Great Lakes and Bayland Insurance for over 25 years in various capacities. Currently, her responsibilities include all onboarding and orientation activities and paperwork including being an Access Plus Mentor for Personal and Commercial Lines for our foundation agencies. Melissa is also an Agency Growth Coach overseeing the Personal Lines department and is the facilitator of the BIA program (Business Insurance Advantage). Melissa currently resides in Green Bay WI with her husband Ken and 3 children, Tyler, Alex, and Madelyn. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.

Joleen Exferd

Portfolio Management Analyst

Joleen is the Director of Compliance and Book Management with SIA of the Great Lakes. Her responsibilities include making sure all agents are in compliance with the carriers and to help guide the agents making our book of business profitable. Joleen has worked in both personal and commercial lines access plus before moving to this role. Joleen earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Ashford University. Before coming to SIA of the Great Lakes, Joleen was in the health insurance industry for over 10 years. Joleen has a son, Kelan, whom she enjoys making new adventures with.

Kevin Rank

Agency Growth Coach - WI

Kevin came to SIAGL in June 2017 from Ameriprise Auto and Home Insurance. As an Agency Growth Coach, Kevin helps all of our Wisconsin members to grow their agency. He has previously worked in the Access Plus department on both the personal and commercial lines side. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and currently resides in Green Bay, WI with his wife Lauren, two sons Hammond and Thelan, and their dog, Rowdy. In his free time, Kevin likes to play basketball, disc golf, and volleyball.
